Author Leigh Bardugo on the Different Kinds of Hero's Journeys

No matter our age or experience, we are all looking to see ourselves in the stories of resilience like through a hero’s journey. Author Leigh Bardugo says that there are all kinds of hero’s journeys whether a chosen one’s story in her Shadow and Bone Trilogy, the story of a group of kids who really only have their own skills and each other to rely on in Six of Crows, or the main character in King of Scars who is recovering from traumas from war. In many of them, the characters have to save themselves and others before they can save their communities or countries.
