Author M.T. Anderson on the Pros and Cons of the Internet for Research

During the six years that Author M.T. Anderson wrote the two volumes of his historic novel, The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Volume I: The Pox Party and The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Volume II: The Kingdom on the Waves, the internet changed the nature of conducting research. Finding esoteric books and sources online about the Colonial Period became much easier with the growth of the Internet. But, as Mr. Anderson points out, although printed books can certainly contain egregious errors, because of the size and breadth of the internet, the potential for flawed and unreliable sources is greater.
