Author Leigh Bardugo developed a love of language from her grandfather, a voracious reader, who raised her and encouraged her to write and tell stories. Learning to love not only stories but also poetry from him, she encourages people who want to write to read a lot of poetry as it gives a writer’s work a different, and sometimes deeper palette.
