We all want to see ourselves reflected in the books we read, the characters we get to know as we turn each page. The same was true for Author Leigh Bardugo as she grew up. As a non-practicing Jew and someone who became disabled later in life, she says she is not sure she has ever seen someone just like her in a book, but in some ways, she always has seen herself through characters who are tough, strong, and resilient.
