In my fairy tale, I imagined what it would be like for Hansel and Gretel to get sent to the moon. First their stepmother lures them into a rocket that launches on a mission to study the moon. Knowing that bread crumbs won't help them now, Hansel tries to get in touch with mission control. Unfortunately, he finds the wires cut. Hansel takes control of the rocket aided by his extensive knowledge of N.A.S.A. and many hours of flight time (his father being a pilot). He plans to fly back to earth but realizes that there is not enough fuel to make it. Instead, he lands it on the moon.

As Hansel and Gretel step out onto the moon, they realize that the moon really is made out of cheese. They bounce along and explore the moon for possible ways back to earth. Soon they come to a little house made out of cheese. But it's not made out of just any cheese; it's made of a sample of the best cheeses in the universe. The kids begin to eat the cheese house when the owner, a person-eating alien, discovers them. He locks up Hansel with the intent of making him dinner and forces Gretel to prepare his laser-cooker. To keep her brother from being fried, Gretel pretends the cooker is broken and convinces the alien to crawl inside to fix it. When he does, Gretel locks the alien inside. She frees Hansel and they both fly home in the alien's spaceship.

Their stepmother is put in jail and Hansel and Gretel live happily ever after (with occasional trips to the moon for cheese).
