Christopher Fry, an inspiring humor author, was at his grandmother's house, standing on a bridge, log in hand, and poised to throw it in. It was a cold day, Saturday, November 24 2007. He and his family had decided to walk to the simple, but enjoyable low water bridge, a small distance from the house. The thin ice covered the creek so he and his sister decided to declare war on the ice. Their goal was to separate the ice by throwing rocks into it. Christopher thought, "we need something bigger." He looked around frantically for something but then he spotted it a, gigantic, but manageable for an 11 year old, sized log. He strode over to the bank, and picked up the log and took his position at the edge of the bridge. He stood precipitously on the edge of the bridge, determined to break the ice. His breath clouded as he heaved once, twice, and after a slight hesitation, lunged towards the edge. The log flew slowly out of his hands, bark flying through the air. As the log slipped out of his grasp, Christopher Fry followed the log. The log and he hung in midair for a moment, and he came to terms with termites. Then, arms flailing wildly, the water flew up at him, and he and the log made a terrific splash, spewing spray everywhere.
